What I Wore Today #17

Hi everyone!
For some weekend fun, I decided to wear this black faux fur gilet, with black suede thigh high boots, and paired them with one of my favorite colours - red!
I love love red, especially with black, it just really makes your outfit pop!
I also wore red lipstick, but decided to swap it for nude lips later on, as the red got really messy & just too much by the end of  the day! And I just love my nude way too much to part with it this easily! :)

Also, how do you like this new photo? I cropped the background out this time, and just experimented with it a little for fun! Might do more like this in the future, it's more exciting like this in my opinion!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!

Did you guys dress up as anything, or are you planning on wearing some kind of costume? :)

Unfortunately, since I was at work, I was unable to get into the holiday spirit... but I did rock some black lipstick, just like last year! I probably wouldn't be able to get away with wearing black lips any other day, so thank god for Halloween! Haha!
Hope you all had fun!

Wishlist #5

Each month, I will be doing a post on 3 items that I would absolutely die for!
Here are the next three items that are on my major want list!

Currently lusting over:
  1. Christian Louboutin Miss Clichy 140 Ankle Boots. I have been in love with these gorgeous ankle boots for years now... I think these are great to spice up an all-black outfit, which I have so many of. They would be perfect for any time of the year, let that be with a mini dress or black pants & a blazer! My love for leopard print will never end. Totally want!
  2. Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci Gold Double Panther Necklace. Ok, so I only just spotted this necklace a few weeks ago, when they were first released, and I have to say I fell in love the moment I saw it. It also comes in black, but the gold is so much more stylish, the black to me is a bit rock chic, but I do love that one aswell. I've been obsessing over Cartier's panthere line for as long as I can remember, but it's safe to say that these Givenchy panther pieces almost made me forget about Cartier's beautiful panther line. This necklace is so badass, it's so big and so chunky, you don't need to wear anything exciting or over-the-top if you have this baby on! You'll be sure to get noticed!
  3. Yves Saint Laurent Easy Y Studded Bag. I love anything studded, so it comes as no surprise that these bags in my opinion, are to die for! They would definitely bling up any outfit, and of course be a real eye-catcher! They are huge, so a lot can fit in to this bag, which is great, because I always carry too much with me! Be mine, Easy Y!

My Tally Weijl Picks

Hello my lovely bloggerinas!
Today, I decided to do a post on my picks from super adorable and "totally sexy" brand TALLY WEiJL!

Tally Weijl is a leading international fashion label which designs, produces and sells sexy fashion for young women and girls in retail stores. TALLY WEiJL was founded in 1984 by Tally Elfassi-Weijl and Beat Grüring in Switzerland. Today the company is represented in 33 countries worldwide with over 720 stores, employing more than 2,800 staff members (May 2011).

I love this brand way too much, especially their winter line, they always have the cutest things there! And not to mention the staff! The girls at Tally are just so nice, I'm really great friends with all of them!
You can't really compare their items to other high street stores, like my favorite store ZARA for example, because Tally Weijl focuses on fun & girly items.
Of course you can find more elegant pieces too, but other brands like H&M, Mango, ZARA, are more into the current trends & fashions, and all their looks are more grown-up and mature.
I always have a hard time finding super adorable pieces in those shops, and I think every girl needs to have a bit of fun sometimes & wear cute clothing from time to time, and that is exactly why I love Tally Weijl so much!

Here are my winter picks:
(...and items that are on my wishlist of course, haha!)

Metallic Addict

Hi everyone!
As I promised, here are the accessories which I got in the past few weeks.
I did a post on the jackets & coats, and now it's time for the smaller goodies! Hope you like them!

These 2 gorgeous scarves I got as a present from the girls at Tally Weijl, like the 2 coats which I showed you in my previous post! They are so cute, and not only are they leopard print, but they are also SPARKLY! And what girl doesn't love anything that sparkles?!

Then there are these metallic beauties! The big one is a huge gold laptop bag, which I love, and the bottom two smaller ones are originally cosmetic bags, but I'm using them as a small clutch/purse, or just whatever I feel like really! They're very practical and fashionable, since metallics are so in right now, and I just adore them!
And let's not forget about the gold metal & leather necklace either, which is so simple yet so chic, it really spices up any outfit!

And last but not least, this amazing leopard faux fur stole, which is so soft & furry! Just throw it around your neck & you're ready to go! I'm trying to hunt one down in snow white as well, but no luck so far! :(

Wow, looking back at all my previous posts, I realized I have a serious problem with anything leopard print, eek! I can't help it...

Winter Madness

Winter is fast approaching, and with the temperature being 10-15C, I started shopping for the cold weather!
I looooove love love winter, so much in fact, that my wardrobe consists of about 3 times more winter clothes than summer ones. I can't help but buy gorgeous furs & beautiful coats whenever I spot one.
So for the past few weeks, I've been on a mission to hunt the perfect pieces down!

Starting with this leopard print faux fur which I adore... it has to be my new favorite piece!
I have to admit, I'm a faux fur maniac, and what can be better than leopard print + faux fur together?
Not to mention, it is so warm! Winteeeer, here I come!

Then there's this absolutely adorable caramel-coloured coat, which I got as a present from Tally Weijl. I love the brands winter line, and I always find such cute pieces! The girls there are always so nice, and I'm so happy to have received this beauty from them! Thank you!
Also, how adorable is the leopard print faux fur part around the neck? And the bow pockets! I'm in love!

This white winter coat is also from Tally Weijl, thanks girls! This is a more casual piece, which I can wear to uni, or if I'm having a more layed-back day! I feel like a snow bunny when I wear it, haha!

This is a vintage piece we found with my mom the other day. I simply love the simple straight-cut of this coat, and the three-quarter sleeves, with the big black buttons! I can't wait to wear this!
(Not to mention houndstooth is SO in fashion right now! Have you seen my trend report on the classic print?)

And last, but not least, this classic beige trench coat, from Stradivarius. I love trench coats, and I have them in so many colours, but for some reason, I could never find the perfect cream version, until I spotted this the other week! Love this too, and can't wait to wear it with a cute black fur stole, and some thigh high boots!

PS - A post on winter accessories coming soon!

Trend Report: Houndstooth

Hello everyone!
I recently did a post on houndstooth print on my other blog: HIGH GLAM.
I wanted to post is on here as well, because I just LOVE this trend.
I've invested in 3 houndstooth items as of recently, and I can't wait to show you guys!

Houndstooth is a duotone textile pattern, characterized by broken checks or abstract four-pointed shapes, often in black and white, although other colours are used as well. The classic houndstooth pattern is an example of tessellation.

In my opinion, this is such a classic print, it is elegant, sophisticated & it definitely makes a statement, especially with the black & white contrast! LOVE it!

Stars who have worn this trend:
Kim Kardashian has been spotted wearing a Salvatore Ferragamo houndstooth dress & a gorgeous cape as well!
The brunette reality star even found a matching giant chair which she snapped a photo of. Clearly, she can't get enough of houndstooth!
Classy lady Claire Danes and Kim's older sister, Kourtney Kardashian were also spotted wearing houndstooth pieces! We just love how Kourt matched her dress with a red vintage Chanel clutch and some fiery lipstick!
Paris Hilton wore a not so flattering version of the current houndstooth trend, and even sported matching tights... which we think is too much! She looks like a granny!
Australian actress Teresa Palmer also chose a look which is popular among models & celebs, with this figure hugging Ferragamo creation!
Lady Gaga and Dita Von Teese both chose an elegant houndstooth creation! Lady Gaga's dress is actually the same one Kim Kardashian wore not long ago, (see the first picture) but of course Gaga didn't stop at one piece of houndstooth clothing, she had to have matching tights, clutch, sunglasses, and even a hat to finish off her look!
And here's the infamous Salvatore Ferragamo dress... AGAIN! Worn by our favorite fashionista Anna Dello Russo and model, Jessica Hart, who paired her frock with a super pretty chunky silver necklace and a black clutch bag!
If you want to be fashionable during winter too, then houndstooth is the answer! Gwyneth Paltrow and a makeupless Hayden Panettiere have both been spotted wearing houndstooth print coats!
If you don't feel comfortable wearing houndstooth, or if you're not that into this trend, try wearing just one piece at a time, or just an accessory, like Ashley Greene and her cute houndstooth bag! We also love Selena Gomez's adorable skirt, which is a super chic way to give a little edge to a simple black outfit!
Gwen Stefani softened up her all-black outfit with houndstooth print leggings, while Evan Rachel Wood chose houndstooth high heels to an event, to match her black & white look!

Salvatore Ferragamo brought houndstooth back into a major trend in 2011!
Several pieces of the classic print were debuted on SF's fall/winter 2011 runway show, and since, they have been a hit with celebrities and models around the world!

And just out of curiosity, do you like this trend? What are your opinions? Would you wear it?

PS - Just for fun; pink houndstooth print nails!

My H&M Wishlist

So I was just browsing the H&M website, and I thought I would do a little wishlist post of the things I'm totally wanting from there!
They are basically accessories, apart from the tuxedo style hot pink blazer, which is from H&M's brand new By Night collection! I'm blazer obsessed, and even though I have 4 pink blazers, I still cannot resist this bright beauty!
Also, I'm really into fur, leopard print, oversized clutches, and gold, chunky statement jewelery, so it comes naturally that I absolutely adore all of this!
So buying them as soon as/if they're in stock at our local H&M! ( Well ok, only if they look as good in real life as they do on these pictures ;) )

Which one's your favorite? :)

What I Wore Today #16

Hello everyone!
Ah, Mondays are so tiring, and it's so hard waking up after a laid-back Sunday which consists of watching DVD's & just relaxing in bed all day!
I was up real early today, at 7! I had a lot of things to do, as it is the start of the week.
After I finished everything, I went to my favorite mall, which just opened a few weeks ago, and of course sneaked a little shopping into my day! I bought a gorgeous pair of special edition suede thigh high boots which I'll do a post about soon!

As for my outfit, it was rather cold today again, so I decided to wear a furry off-white/cream cardigan, with a black & gold flake scarf, black leggings, leoapard print wellington boots & some gold bling bling to finish it off! I love this outfit, it's perfect for such a busy day like today was! It's also good to wear some flat shoes after wearing high heels all week! Haha!

PS - Nails My Way post coming soon! x

Peekaboo, I see you!

Hi everyone! I couldn't help myself... I had to show you this, because the moment I saw it, I instantly fell head over heels in love with it!
This gorgeous lemon yellow Peekaboo tote which I got from my boyfriend for our anniversary! I cannot emphasize how much I LOVE it! He always knows how to sweep me off my feet, and he is brilliant at always surprising me with something that I absolutely adore. I love him very much!
It's still a bit creased (on the sides & bottom) due to the long trip it has been on & of course because of the packaging it was in, but it's much better now after a few wears!

I have always loved pairing bright bags with simple outfits, but eversince I spotted Kim Kardashian wearing this neon yellow Birkin, I fell even more in love with bold coloured totes!

I really like the nude colour too, which Blake Lively and Kim K were spotted wearing, but I think the yellow is so much more striking and it makes such a statement!
Would you wear a bright yellow bag?
